Picture No 34
Today I have spent the day tidying my “shack” a term that is used by radio amateurs for the place where they operate their equipment from. I switched on my old American made Drake TR-4C transceiver which was state of the art in 1977. I spent some time listening the 40M amateur band (7MHz), mainy to amatuers from all over europe.
The term transceiver means that the transmitter and receiver are housed in the same box, Transmitter receiver. Before the advent of transceivers most amateurs used separates, i.e one box for the transmitter and one box for the receiver. Tomorrow I will show you something abit more modern.
Hope its flexradio, or is that to moden. ha, ha
