Another attempt at photographing the moon. This time I thought that I would try to photograph the moon without using a tripod, to see if I could handhold the camera steady enough, well I can’t. Normally I would have deleted this picture, but I posted the picture to show what a difference it makes mounting the camera on a tripod and using a shutter release.

Nikon D700, Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 + Nikon TC-1.7 x TeleconverterManual Exposure 1/250 sec @ f/11, ISO 200 (the 1.7 x teleconverter increases the focal length of the lens from 200mm to 340mm).
